| Just come in another top ten chip pie in Yorkshire poll. Best around for many years in my taste. Not sure that’s correct re cooking oil. Owned Durkar chip pie for a while. My cholesterol went to 9.7 with the beef dripping. A quad bypass testifies to it.
Things in general seem to be taking a positive upwards curve.

Yeah it’s right I asked, it got new owners a bit back.
If like me you have a fish supper once a month your probably ok with beef dripping but more often I get the point.
As it has a huge regular clientele I get why they did it, it works on many levels but it still don’t taste as good imho.

on the odd occasions when we do our own roast tatties I learned the other day that beef dripping reaches a higher temperature so will be looking to get a jar for xmas dinner to get that crispy taste on the roasties, normally we par boil then rough them up in a pan or cullinder to fluff them up this time I'm going to sprinkle a little ground cumin over the top them

Likely an auto correct but I am really liking the idea of a chip pie.

I've had one, it was chips in a pie with no top and gravy poured in. It was really nice but I was very drunk at the time.

When you've boiled them just coat them liberally in flour before you roast them, no need to thank me squire I'm happy in the fact you'll have had a good Xmas dinner

| Are people that petty that they will no longer give somewhere their custom because of what rugby team they support/sponsor?

Is it not reciprocal? Business' may sponsor a team in the hope that it encourages supports to buy their wares, it can't be that surprising that rival fans would be put off.
