| In the spirit of nurturing the next generation of fans, I asked my son this question; he said a BMX display team and some street dancers.
Naturally, I clipped him round the lug and told him to bugger off.

count me in, i'm still young enough to get round a pitch, played there a few times and would be great to get on there one last time

| Quote: Sandal Cat "My Dad says he saw Baseball played on Belle Vue before the War. I think our team was the Wakefield Cubs but never caught on. Before any comments its not like rounders, its a great game to see at the top level in the States as I'm sure Slugger will testify - Go Red Sox.'"
I agree. Seen the Red Sox play at quite a few stadiums, and there are not many better ways to spend a sunny afternoon or evening than drinking beer and watching a ballgame (I discount Detroit in that, because it is a complete hole. It felt abandoned).
As for a final hurrah, a veterans game between stars of the past. Wakey past against GB past.

That would be my choice.

| Seem to remember a few films where native american indians form a corridor and some miscreant has to run the gauntlet while being beaten with sticks.
As an example if you used Richard Lewis and charged everyone £2 to be in the line, or £1 if they fetched their own club you would probably have a very good crowd and raise much needed funds.
Advertise it well enough and you would probably see shirts from many other clubs. In fact you could create a new sport.
The RFL would surely be willing to lend us their Chief Exectutive for such a fun pastime.

| An extravaganza of a day for me with a series of different matches, like have been mentioned, turn it into a MM style day
followed by an evenings entertainment...
Kooks?
Large screen viewing of 'This Sporting Life'
A show that includes memories, maybe even turn it into an awards evening, similar to Sports Personality of the Year with different memories within and out of living memory are discussed.

| Take up the pitch for transfer to Newmarket.
Get the soil ploughed up and soaked with plenty of water.
Two female bikini clad Rugby Teams.
Sorted!

Yep - that'll really get the party rocking.
It would be nice to see some sort of exhibition match - maybe a squad of all the great players who've pulled on a Trinity jersey vs the current playing squad? Not sure if that wouldn't be just as depressing though, in a 'here's what you could have won' type way.

| Just a win in the last game would do me. If we lose that game I'll not want to set foot in the place again!
