1. Moore didn't feature much for Leeds last season and in last year of contract isn't he?
2. Kirke seems to be favoured although has only 1 year left on his contract so could be him?
3. Josh Bowden is in Hull papers and its suggested that he may struggle to get a much of a look in behind 5 props there so looking for Super League experience through his ex-coach?
4. Mason in contract dispute with Huddersfield but once sorted who knows? I don't trust press releases or what is openly said by R.A.

Agree, just because someones been given a squad number doesn't mean they wouldn't take an offer from another club especially if it's for a longer contract, on similar or better money.

Out of the names banded about there's one or two I think could do a good job for us week in week out and some of the other names are no better than James.

Kirke bailey and griffin would all be in our first 17. I know I'm in a huge minority but I'd live bailey at wakey, said this to my mate at the play off game at headingley. He didn't share my views and I suspect a good 90% on here won't either!

Yep those 3 and Mason would go well for us, can't see Bailey leaving Leeds mind but if he did I'd have him here, no doubt he's a first class turd but at least he'd be our turd if he came here.

3 weeks ago Gary Hetherington was talking to Danny McGuire publically (well, at a dinner at headingley) and annouced that wthe squad was complete other than the potential for one more signing.

following this the squad numbers were announced.

I'd not say it's impossible, but after this I'd be shocked.

Wakefield's pack is good, they don't need to splash the cash on another front rower, whether they can afford it or not. Squad filler would be sufficient.

There are several reasons for not naming names:

1 First and foremost - they might be wrong / they might be right - until a deal is done it remains speculation / rumour / gossip!
2 IF by any chance it is right - I'm sure the club wouldn't want the names branded about too much.
3 To preserve a confidence given and therefore hopefully to retain that confidence for future reference
4 Respect for all involved
5 Don't need a 5 - enough covered above.

As is seen by the difference in Atillas post and mine, both feel they have decent sources, but at least one of us is wrong, so who knows really???

1) who cares- Surely the fun in the off season is fans speculating about signings and getting excited about who it is and how they would fit in, makes the off season go quicker and builds up excitement for the first game
