Best thing you can do in the bid process is just keep shut and talk soley about the strengths of your bid. Widnes have been getting carp left, right & centre recently and all unsubstantiated rubbish and by not responding but just knocking out the next new sponsor etc you just look 10X stronger and more confident.

You'd be massively underwhelmed if there were. Read what's been posted on the Cas board or on Casforum. Basically the same as what's been posted since God knows when on here about Cas' plans for their stadium.

If what's reported on there is true, his remarks smack of pettiness, and don't really do us any favours, as far as I can see. But to call it abuse is ridiculous.

Is the way I see it too. Unfortunately, good news stories are as rare as rocking horse poo if you're a Wakey fan at the moment.

His remarks sound very bitter towards Cas. To say he is the Chairman of the club he is also very ill informed regarding both our stadiums plans etc.
He must have got all that info from reading this forum

Teds shown himself up there but to be honest i've grown tired of the whole situation. The bitching and back-biting that franchising has lead to has taken the soul out of RL and everthing that it used to stand for no longer matters. Its not the game I started watching over 25 years ago and its not one I particularly enjoy anymore. The season ticket is already bought for this year as an act of support for the club but it will be my last, franchise or not.

I don't see the need to accuse Cas of failing to meet deadlines, "big talk", no action, etc... All these accusations could just as easily be turned back on us. How can he say we are nearer to building a finished stadium than Cas is beyond me. Does Ted know something or has the pressure finally become too much for him? Either way, these are deeply unprofessional comments, especially at a time when he's waiting to see if the RFL consider him a suitable person to run Wakefield Trinity due to his financial situation. Personally, I think he should concentrate on sorting out our own mess and coming up with a credible plan B

I wouldn't call his comments abusive, what i would say is that they are petty and i believe unnessecerry but they whats done is done and at least he appears to be showing some fight.

Wrong word used that's all. The basic message was he was taking a swipe at us when at no point have we put down your bid.

although the comments arnt abusive it is very ameature from a pro clubs ceo and tbh it smacks of desperation,if this is how he behaves in business then there is no wonder he`s in a cva.

i think it will be cas who laughs last on this one, infact im certain we will be a super league club for 2012 and beyond and playing in a new stadium.

I have absolutely no time for Ted Richardson, we are in the mess we are in principally due to bad decisions made by him and his hangers on. If this club goes to the wall, he will be one of the main reasons. I was disappointed but not suprised to hear of his comments in the press. All it does is make us look desperate and reinforces the view that we know we are struggling. As I said on another thread whatever any one thinks about Dicky Wright, it will be some achievement if they manage to get the stadium built with very little public money going in.

If he wanted to criticise anybody were up against for a licence then it should have been the Welsh team, cos at least his comments may have had a small degree of relevance in terms of us needing to be treated fairly. I know it wouldn't make any difference in the outcome, but at least nobody could have argued about it.

I just don't understand this statement. We have outline planning permission, soon to be full planning permission, a site that's been agreed on with ground work in the process... so how are Wakefield closer? I'm not trying to cause an argument here, but I've heard a lot of people saying this but I just cannot see the reasoning behind it.

Nothing, but the NM development has the money and a site, what it doesn't have is the time.

Still with Cas putting in for FPP this week they've don't need to get their knickers in a twist over this.

Because there is no reasoning behind any of his comment's.

If Cas submit plans this week (believe it when you see it) as is rumoured, then we will be at least 12 months infront and we will be "much closer".

Come to think of it - even if we do not submit plans, Cas at this moment, are still "much closer" as we have OPP and Ted/WTW does not (although in his mind he think's he has when you read his comments)

Not necessarily. If this public review doesn't go to plan, couldn't the site be revoked? Do you have outline PP?
