Genuinely shocked by this. He did a good job for us in terms of the limited budget he had to work with. Did have some poor defeats last season but felt he did well for us. A decent man, honest and seemed to be well respected by the players and fans too.

I thought he did ok with the squad he had. Strange decision that.

I think the guy was on an hiding to nothing with the players he had. Year to run on his contract too, hope he milks Jepson for every penny due to him

The difference is that we were relegated and had to start up from scratch, we needed a totall new backroom staff from top to bottom. I also think Mash was at the end of his contract too.

Anyhow, just hope its dosnt work out for them

Was a bit surprised Lingard got the push at Cas,he got them playing some decent stuff with the players at his disposal.More a victim of club politics imo.

Could still be an old interview with Jepson given the author, but the dates are still in there. 2026 start date at best meaning it won't be ready until 2028.

Not sure if this will help , but MJ gave his latest podcast last week and in it he made specific reference to the stadium , saying that he doesn't think the money will be made available until 2026 .

He says that he feels that there may need to be 2 or 3 interest rate drops before some business projects become more economically viable .

He did also mention that even if the Axiom money became available before then , he didn't feel that we would be in a position to start any building at the moment as we are reliant on other factors before we can proceed.
