So which way do we go? Do the OCC guys deserve new deals? Do we want to sign up the on loan players? Do we have to raise funds and free budget up buy selling 2 or 3 of the crown jewels? How would you juggle it?

I’d let all the listed players go, I’d also look to negotiate with a few players to settle their contract and allow them to find another club. We may find some that are happy to do it or possibly none will but nothing ventured nothing gained. For a hypothetical example: speak to Arundel whose on £60k and offer him a £30k lump sum to settle and leave, putting £30k back into the wages pot along with the wages of Brough, Atkins, Tangata, King etc

Bring in a new Head Coach NOW and allow him to assess the squad first hand at training and in the remaining matches. If he feels we need to sell TJ, Fifita, Tupou or Tanginoa then let him do so to further inflate the wages available for fresh players.

Allow the new coach to select his backroom staff!

Let the coach bring in players HE wants and feels will take the team forward.

Some of this will be possible maybe some will be difficult due to the money available straight away to use for settling contracts early and maybe some of it will be impossible to do straight away.

The point is that the team and coaching set up needs radical changes or we risk a relegation battle that we won’t be favourites to win!

As much as I don't agree with sacking Chester, if it's going to happen it needs to happen now.

Arundel has played 70 games in 5 seasons, whilst I've always thought he was pretty good for us it's clear he isn't ever going to be a starting centre.

We had 20 years of selling our best players just to survive and it never did and never will lead to having a better team MC said a couple of years ago we are no longer a selling club to provide other clubs with our star players. 100% right attitude. There is no easy answer and things need to change especially the players attitude apparently. Loan players still need paying, let him go don’t replace him, add that wage to the other saved wages and let a new coach decide where to spend it. It’s not hard to understand that.
