Well Griffin won't be here next year, Powell confirmed in his post match conference that he's moving on, but didn't say where.
It’s a tough one with Griffin, I think he’s been solid this year and was outstanding against Nsemba last night. Obviously club think different. So glad Pitts is staying, talk about ageing like a fine wine. I don't think the club think differently to him having a good season playing well last night. Just that he is coming to the end of his career and time to rotate in a younger model. And it will extend his playing career if he steps down a level. I shouldn’t have worded it like that tbf, my bad. Yes I agree, that’s the right waY to put it PT.

Did I read somewhere in a random post on the gospel that is Facebook that other than that we have obviously signed a few for next year (not in doubt) but the name Tanginoa came up?
Did anyone else read that one? I'm not sure what to think if there is truth in it - My view would be that I think he could be coming to the end of his shelf life while still obviously handy.
I would be happy to see Tanginoa back if true .Think there is still a lot of years left before end of shelf life .Just hope we do not try to turn him into a prop . How old his he ?

He is 32 next March. About the age we signed Griffin so I would be fine with Tanginoa for a season or two. He would likely add something on the edges and with him, Storton, Vagana, Nikotemo, Croft (hopefully) and Scott there is plenty of quality to manage those edge forward positions.

| With Atoni signing for Cas, I’d go for Owen Trout from Leigh to bolster the front row. He’s got size, youth, brings loads of energy and wouldn’t take up a quota spot. I’m not saying we’d get him but he’s a Wakefield lad and fan. In his short career to date he’s been at Cas and Leeds as a junior, then Huddersfield and now Leigh so he’s obviously not worried about moving from one club to the next.

I thought he was at Wakefield as a junior, when his brother was with us.

He'd be a good shout and seems to be coming into his prime, it also leaves that space open to look for someone that suits us from the NRL. But hasn't Trout still got another year on his contract for Leigh? He signed for 3 years for the 2024 season, so that takes us till the end of 2026 season. Not saying we couldn't move for him, but we'd have to pay a fee.

I thought he was at Wakefield as a junior, when his brother was with us. He played at Stanley Rangers, same as his brother, but I don't remember him joining our Academy tbh. I remember him playing for England Academy against the Aussies when at Leeds, when England won 2-0.

Yeah, as I said, I remember him playing for England Academy against the Aussies while a Leeds junior. I seem to remember quite a bit of hype about him when he was going through their Academy at that time, but he only lasted a year in their senior set-up before moving to Hudds, might have been down to the lack of chances he was getting. I also think he made his SL debut against Trinity for Leeds.
