Can't really add anything to what's been said already. What a great night all round.


My only complaint is that I couldn't sleep cos I was that stoked, and am knackered today! 

Hard to pick a man of the match ,Must have been one of the best matches we have had for completion rate , low penalties ,and low missed tackels for a long time 

Hard to single out a man of the match. Wigan seemed to have singled out our right edge as a weak spot, but Walmsley was superb catching the high balls they bombarded him with and they couldn't find a way through. Once Wigan realised that plan wasn't working they seemed bereft of any ideas to change it.


I honestly thought their pack would steamroller us, but despite the size advantage our forwards had bucketfuls of something special that theirs were lacking...heart. They mobbed their bigger forwards preventing any meaningful progress and stopping offloads. Our backs taking so many carries meant our forwards had the energy for this.


It was especially good to see TWO! half backs working together and between them they completely overshadowed Wigans more illustrious counterparts. 


And then there's Max Jowitt...enough said.


Great team performance, roared on by an outstanding North Stand with notable assistance from the posh ones in the seats!

As soon as we gave away the 3 or so penalties at the start of the 2nd half and Keighran flew over I thought here we go. How wrong was I. I’ve genuinely never seen a more well drilled side in my time of watching. 1-17 literally gave it all for the badge last night. Proud Wakey fan. 

The official stats will probably be out soon but on SL Stats 6 players ran more than 100m and no one really made a long break. All those metres were tough metres.

Death, taxes, and we look so much more calm and assured when Truey is on the field.  I love him, and all of the others.  


What a night.  Atmosphere was amazing, truly.

Special mention for Walmsley too...how many hit-up's did he do ??
He kept getting smashed but just got up every time and came back for more 

He did 16 carries for 132 metres.
Significantly 41 after contact so he's no mug.


I'm warming to him.
Unless we really have a top overseas player on the way besides Smoothy I'd probably keep him 1 more year.

Have said I will be sorry to see him go .Got to give him credit had plenty of stick off fans, not one of the Coaches favourites, but thinking he is proving them wrong .One of them players who can make one mistake in a match and gets blown out of all proportion .Bit like Lino .

I don't think anyone has said a bad word against Walmsley,  there were doubts about how he'd cope in SL, but all can see he's putting the effort in and getting his reward. 

Walmsley has two things against him. He's not Tom and he's not English so on the quota.
No real criticism it's just he's bottom of the list of quota players on a lot if lists.
