One of the best against the odds wins I've seen in my 50 years watching.
They could have up to 7 players in the England squad. Their star men were dangerous but we just kept hitting them back.
We had a centre who just converted to SR playing prop for a while and he was great.
Johnstone was making yards for fun.
It wasn't very often but whenever we got good field position in their 25 I felt Trueman and Lino would get us a try.
It was an absolute team win.

Also hope Croft gets a new deal
Croft and Cozza. They’re improving and best years ahead. Cozza seems a natural replacement for Pitts.
Croft is becoming a well rounded second row. Defensively he’s been particularly good. I’d like to retain them both and if we can just add 2-3 quality players for next season then big things are going to happen I feel. The fact that they are both so adaptable, as well as have years ahead of them, makes it a bit of a no-brainer to me that they should get extensions. Cozza's just grown while he's been with us. I honestly didn't rate him that much, but his game has hit a new level this year. Same with Crofty, I wondered where he'd play this year, but he's worked on his game and found a place for himself, and he again continues to improve, and he's still so young as well..

| Also a very special mention to Johnstone who I thought last night was absolutely incredible. His tough Carries (2 a set at times), mopping up at the back, try, and even pushing Field to the corner to make their last minute try more difficult to convert summarised who he is as a player. In my opinion he was world class last night.

| Wonderful performance. Every player deserves credit. Our defence was so well organised. Only a couple of times did a player jump out of the line. Until the end, they didn't even make a half break. They kept running Nsemba at Lino, but he tackled him everytime. Plus, Trueman really can tackle. We dominated most contacts, and you see the frustration in Wigan's players.
We had to playout from deep so many times. The backs took the ball out more than normal, which I presume was deliberate due to the lack of forwards. They were immense.
Our attack really is clicking with Lino and Trueman. We looked dangerous whenever we had field position. With Jowitt chiming in, we have so many options. With more field position, we would have posted more points. The scoreline flattered Wigan.
Special mention to the Northstand. We were immense. Shoes off if you love the Trin.

The best single performance of any SL team this season considering our injuries, brilliant all round.
It was definitely Trinity's best performance of not just this season but, probably for 10 years. Walking up to the ground and hearing that McMeekin was out, that sinking feeling cam over me but, that performance was awesome. From Jowitt getting hit early doors (and it certainly shook him up for a while) and then Cozza going off in the first half but, we just got stronger and stronger. Talk about grit and determination, it was phenomenal. A truly memorable night at BV.

| Can't really add anything to what's been said already. What a great night all round.
My only complaint is that I couldn't sleep cos I was that stoked, and am knackered today!

Hard to pick a man of the match ,Must have been one of the best matches we have had for completion rate , low penalties ,and low missed tackels for a long time

| Hard to single out a man of the match. Wigan seemed to have singled out our right edge as a weak spot, but Walmsley was superb catching the high balls they bombarded him with and they couldn't find a way through. Once Wigan realised that plan wasn't working they seemed bereft of any ideas to change it.
I honestly thought their pack would steamroller us, but despite the size advantage our forwards had bucketfuls of something special that theirs were lacking...heart. They mobbed their bigger forwards preventing any meaningful progress and stopping offloads. Our backs taking so many carries meant our forwards had the energy for this.
It was especially good to see TWO! half backs working together and between them they completely overshadowed Wigans more illustrious counterparts.
And then there's Max Jowitt...enough said.
Great team performance, roared on by an outstanding North Stand with notable assistance from the posh ones in the seats!

Hard to pick a man of the match ,Most have been one of the best matches we have had for completion rate , low penalties ,and low missed tackels for a long time As soon as we gave away the 3 or so penalties at the start of the 2nd half and Keighran flew over I thought here we go. How wrong was I. I’ve genuinely never seen a more well drilled side in my time of watching. 1-17 literally gave it all for the badge last night. Proud Wakey fan.

| The official stats will probably be out soon but on SL Stats 6 players ran more than 100m and no one really made a long break. All those metres were tough metres.
