| We were very competitive today. It was a very good game with 2 very evenly matched teams. It feels this year we are a nearly team. How many games lost by 4 and under points. I think McMeeken and Fa’atili were outstanding against a very big and physical pack. Corey Hall is starting to play to his potential and Pratt just has X factor about him.
Another tough close loss. It feels that Leeds and Leigh both went stacked on the bench to try out muscle us. We are missing the added fire power for sure. Mcmeeken I feel is a ticking time bomb the amount of work he’s having to get through. I
Is it time to get someone in?

| Another one we've let slip, but we looked more balanced with 2 halfbacks on the pitch The forwards are doing it tough at the moment, and my concern is if we pick up an injury. But if we can turn these close games into wins we'll go okay

I've just said on another thread that I bet most of our fans must be keeping everything crossed Big Mike comes out of each game fit because we'd be screwed without him, let alone Cauis. Amazingly, we're in there to win it with all these top 6 teams, with basically 2 out and out Props and Vagana as someone who can play there if needed each week. As frustrating as it is to lose another very close game and you can pick fault here and there for the reasons, it is pretty amazing we're still churning out good performances when the pack are doing it tough.

Got told today that Storton and Olly Russell should be back in a fortnight ??
When Storton injury was announced I calculated the time frame they gave to early July so could be possible. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in July sometime. And what a boost that would be.

It would, but we'd have to play him at prop.He says he likes playing prop but I prefer him on the right edge.

I agree he was excellent on that fight edge for us an a massive threat with how he carried the ball. Looking forward to seeing him back out on the pitch for us. We desperately need another prop though. I’d even put Lingard in for a short stint vs Wigan so we could at least rotate a little more on a short turnaround.

| I don't think Lingard is ready for that. For now I'd rather go with Cozza and Vagana. He's great, but he's 18. Needs to be handled carefully

I never said he’s ready. He’s not ready for it. With a short turnaround though that extra forward on the bench may allow more rotation to avoid forwards been flogged too much.

| Mention of props makes me think of Sam Eseh's recent performances for Hull.Always had my doubts whether he,d make it, but not any more.I would keep an eye out for how he fits in when he eventually returns to Pies.

If he's not ready we shouldn't be breaking him. I don’t think 20 minutes or so would break him at all. That’s a big statement to make. There’s a difference in not being ready for long or repeat exposure at SL level than doing a relatively short stint on a rare ocassion. Many young players have done it in the past and continue to make the odd appearance at SL level. I have a bit more confidence in him than that and it could be a good learning opportunity. He may not be needed though if rotations can be worked well enough.
