| I agree with poptart on the selection of Trueman if fit. Tom Johnstone and Ollie Pratt need another option from the halfbacks, as they are only feeding off the oppositions 5th tackle kicks most of the time. If we can get the ball out wide or our kicks on the opposition line that`s when they come in to their own. Max as done well covering in the half backs but Trueman is the real deal when fit ! Also when Max is at full back he does come in to the line and his miss out passes to Tom have been productive in the past.

| Awful performance from Hull FC resulting in a surprise loss v Cas. We could now leap frog them with a win. Would still have preferred a Cas loss though.

Trueman can not be match fit , If fans think playing one match and missing 4 plus makes him a great player so be it .Think we should stick with Max in the half ,and Rourke at full back .There should be no way Rourke should be dropped for Max, ,he as been out standing the matches he as played to bring in a player who at present is not fit .Just got to laugh when I hear people say ,he could make the squad to face the Australians

Rourke has been very good at what he does, bringing the ball out, fielding kicks although he does seem to have at least one unenforced error per game in him. What he isn’t as good as Max at is organising the defence and linking up on the edges to create opportunities out wide. Overall though he’s been a very good understudy to Max. With regard to England selection, Im assuming you were talking about Max, there are few alternatives at FB once you rule out Welsby! You either have to play someone out of position eg. Farnworth, Lewis or you consider someone like Pryce who despite being an attacking threat just isn't ready for an England Vs Australia series, he’s certainly not as adept at Full Back as Max is. So maybe it’s Hobson choice but Max comes into the conversation regardless because of the lack of genuine options. On the off chance ou were referring to Trueman for England then I’d agree, he’s nowhere near

| Trueman is nowhere near England from a fitness and availability point of view. Much closer from a skills point of view.
If he's fit enough to play today he has to play. Having Max back at full back and Trueman directing play makes us a vastly more effective team.

Agree; how can he ever get 'match fit' if he doesn't play.
