| I think the issue is that in years gone by, many more neutrals went to the Wembley final because it's was a big sporting event, even out of RL. Unfortunately it isn't now, and there are many more attractions for people nowadays so we have to accept that. I personally feel Wembley is just a hike too far and the final would be a better occasion if it was held in the area RL is played.

They have done nothing wrong here at all.
It is sport at the end of the day, and it happens. If Hull KR didn't, probably somebody else may have.
Maybe if we'd have recruited better at times and looked after certain players better, they may not have left us in the first place.
I was speaking to a Hull KR fan last night in a pub after the game, and he said the journey we have just set off on, is very similar to theirs, but they are just further along it.
Well if following them leads to us abandoning the Academy production line I cant say as I'm in favour. Would prefer to follow the Leeds or Wigan blueprint.

| They have a massive academy
Wigan's success story is built on being consistently successful for 70 years. We are not on that journey

I meant regarding the bringing through of our own youth. What's the point of a massive ornamental academy with no one progressing to regular 1st team due to lack of opportunity?

They get the pick of the bunch but at a cost - so many good players have come through the Wigan ranks and never donned the shirt, but made it big with other clubs. We've had our share of them in the past!

Really feel for Lindop, awful error. KR were never out of the game and hunted until the very end, sign of a top team. Tough way to lose as I thought Wire were the better team.
Sneyd's kicking game was excellent and he was the MOM, no question. A really lucky try at the end but, there was nothing much in the game. Both sides seemed to be playing not to lose, rather than trying to win but, due to the low/close score it was edge of your seat stuff.

| HKR buy for now, we are building for a future, so similar but not the same.
A few of our fans need to remember that too.

I do take that point as they've only really got 2 players 25 or less in the first team. But they do have a lot of young players in their squad so it depends how they develop. Noah Booth as an example. I like the way we are building a long term team, but there is a need to have some players in their prime, which is usually older than 25....like McM.

I do agree with you to a point, but have they the patience and time, with younger players ? (Corey Hall springs to mind) suppose time will tell.As for Booth, thought it was a strange move, his chances don't seem any better than at Wakefield.

Think everyone can see we got a very good player at fullback to cover for Jowitt , Hope we get him signed up ,Looks a far better S L player than Booth . Just hope HKR treat Booth better than they did Hall who is beginning to look like a good .

You've also got Magic Weekend, trip to Catalans and (sometimes) end of year Internationals to think about. Just going to a single Superleague game isn't exactly cheap, either. Factor in family summer holidays, Christmas etc etc there's not much brass int pocket.
