Connor isn’t as effective at full back as could be seen in the second half last week when he switched there. He lacks the agility for it.
As for Pryce he’s not consistent enough in his performances and still has a lot to prove. He’s only getting mentioned at full back after a game that he had two break away tries vs some incredibly poor defence.
If you’re asking who’s the better full back it’s definitely Max.
Connor seems to be playing well in the halves though.
Knowing Wane he will put Lewis at full back. It irks me that he doesn’t play 9 all year and then Wane throws him in at 9 just to get him on the pitch when there’s a few good 9 options like Litten.
Connor is a defensive liability and way too slow to play FB against Aus. Imagine Cleary bombing him or Mitchell breaking through. Connor is a very skillful player and literally played in a dinner suit the first half against us at 6. We are pretty much halfway through the season so far. Players for me who will be there or there about Welsby Johnstone Wardle Farnworth Young Lewis H. Smith Mcmeeken O’Neill Lee’s Pierce -Paul Nsemba Radley Mulhern Thompson Oledzki Litten Jowitt Smithies Nicholson Marshall J. Burgess Percival G. Williams Are we playing 14 a side, you seem to have a 7 man pack ? Yes. It’s the new international rules being applied for the Ashes which is 14 a side.

It’ll be A J Brimson.

Good on him. He should at the minimum be in the squad. See who Wane Picks.

As good as Connor's been in the halves for Leeds, he's equally been dreadful at full-back. We've witnessed it ourselves. In that first game, two mistakes led to tries, and when he was moved, he made another error that nearly caused them to lose in the second game. He's terrible under the high ball and lacks any pace whatsoever. Personally don't see what AJB does better than what Jowitt does when you look at their overall games. There seem to be those who back him, not just Wakey fans, from RL fans. Or if they do rate him, they say he lacks international experience. Or he's just a good SL player, which is a bit of a head scratcher to me because that must be the basis of selection to the team, that or the NRL.

| Connor has a bigger obstacle, which is that Wane openly doesn’t like him or his attitude. Although you could argue he’s growing up a bit.
Wane also doesn’t like picking Aussies, so Brimson has that against him.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays Mikey Lewis there.

Watched Brimson against Manly last weekend at FB, he had a terrific game. Phil Gould was waxing lyrical about him. That being said, he’s not english, he’s represented Queensland and only reason he wants to represent England is he’ll never get in the kangaroos squad. Max should definitely be in the squad. Whether he gets in the 17 I doubt it.
