They are only in it to make a profit.  They are not Rugby League people.  They are from Barnsley. Life long Trinity supporter's my . As I said I worked for them and it was an awful place to work. The work clothing is second hand form former employee s. Coded locks on the toilet doors so they can monitor employees.  The Ellis 's will not acknowledge anyone lower than a manager on the shop floor . Have a very high turnover of staff and write good reviews on Indeed to make it sound great. Alf sits at home on is laptop watching what everyone is doing.  Only one clock machine that you can't go to till it is bang to leave but it can take 15 minutes to clock out. You can't waste there time but they can waste yours.they have a bad reputation within the kitchen trade. Mr Ellis as said he wants to run the club as a business, All so said the more money he makes ,the more he will have to spend on the club  Got to admit your post looks like some one with a grudge Leave the doom and gloom post to me .I have got my reputation to think about

Fascinating post. Might all be true, but really wanted to get my/our side across.


It’s funny that Matt won’t do anything without his dad’s permission, but he’s bought the club and is ploughing loads of money in, so no one cares about his relationship with his dad.


If they’re only in it to make a profit, that’s superb news. If they can turn a profit with us they’ll have done one hell of a job - the stadium will be rammed, and we’ll have won plenty of prize money.


He’s never said he’s a lifelong Trinity fan. He came and watched us in Barnsley in his 20s, then started coming to Belle Vue. I don’t really care at all whether he’s a massive or lifelong fan. Loads of clubs have lifelong fans running them terribly. We have in the past too.



As for your experience working for them, I’m genuinely sorry you had to put up with that - it is crap and sadly not uncommon these days. Hope you’ve found something much better.

I’d love to see the plans for inside and under the stand as well as what’s planned for the concourse area behind it.
Anyway, another brilliant step forward for the oldest Rugby League stadium in the world and another reason to count our blessings for Matt Ellis’s ownership

I would think looking at the plans and limited space im concourse that you’d be looking at a couple of food/bars and toilets like east stand. That’s all that’s needed. 

Looks good, could be quite a quick build as half of the stand is already done.  It’s good the pathway will be widened behind the North Stand too. 


Up the Trin 

If they go ahead with this, update the terracing on the West and stick a roof up, and convert the old Rollin Shack with a balcony on it, then I genuinely think we’ll have the best RL ground in the country.
