I mean it’s clear to see that he is a high quality class halfback. I don’t think that’s in question.
I personally think some fans are being rediculous in some of the comments about Trueman.
The club seem to think it’s an issue that can be resolved and if so he will be a player that could certainly help us to break into the top 4 next year or two.
It must be frustrating for him too as he has looked class every time he’s pulled on the shirt. I know most fans are supportive of him but there’s a few fans whose comments are just silly talking about getting rid etc.
If this becomes a chronic issue I’m sure the club will act accordingly but I’m pleased the club are doing the right thing by our players. Probably one reason the players are giving it their all on the pitch to help drive the club forwards.

Looks like DP might be making a few changes based on his presser..... He did also say he’s wary to change a winning team I think so if there is any I can’t see there been more than a couple. Personally I think we will see Doyle and Nikotemo play more minutes but rest will probably be as you are. He may if we take an early lead rest Mckmeeken and Hood earlier than we have been seeing but I don’t think there will be too much change. |

Jake Trueman's situation reminds me of the time when we had Bill Ashurst at the club.
In the days before social media and squad announcements we'd turn up at Belle Vue wondering if he'd be fit and playing. If he was, we were going to be in with a shout of winning as he was a superbly talented player, but sadly it was often not the case, but the club didn't just cast him aside. That specialist up in Middlesbrough he was always going to see must have had a comfortable retirement on the back of the charges we paid for Bill's consultations.
Same with Jake , he's a very talented player who, unfortunately can't get a break at the moment. Stick with him, we stuck with Tom J (twice) through a run of injuries, he came through it .
