It purely determines what league your in following season. I think if we were to get an A tomorrow it would guarantee SL in 2025 but then reviewed 2026 October and 2027 would be decided by that score. Hope that makes sense.

Effectively an A means you are definitely in SL.
As it stands there are only 14 teams close to being in SL so it's not a massive issue but if you are a B but 12 teams are better than you, you are relegated.
If you are an A you are in no matter what, even if there are 16 As.

Every year gradings can change, they can go up or down, so it's up to individual clubs to keep up there standards and IMG points scoring. That's the whole idea of IMG,to improve standards across the board for RL clubs and give a chance for ambitious lower league clubs to get into Super League
