Good on Siddal for wanting to stage the game. They must be buzzing about pulling a championship club at home. If the powers that be deem it to be safe then crack on. Been to Siddal loads and you can see why they are one of the best amateur clubs in the country. Don't get all the negativity towards them. Especially when our ground has been hanging on by a thread for ages. If the RFL deems it safe then all parties involved should be helping Siddal make it happen. It's a fantastic opportunity for a grassroots club to showcase themselves and make a few quid too.

Again it will be good to see how the team fare without Lino. Last season, in the Ashurst testimonial and the 50 minutes or so last week, we looked a more cohesive attacking unit without his erratic skips, dummies and runs complicating matters.

His effort can not be doubted but I feel he hinders more than helps.

Pretty much my take but I’ve wiped the slate clean with him and looking forward to seeing how he goes this season.

Probably going to be Lino and Lawford this week. Be interesting to see how they work together as if we get back to SL they could be next seasons halfback pairing.
