Quote: Trojan Horse "Miller, Smith, Gaskell, Jowitt, Langi - all tried along side him and all seemed the issue but Lino has been the constant. Maybe it’s his play style that the other half’s struggle with? It is a little bit Leo-Latu esque if anyone remembers him. Good player but nobody had a clue what he was going to do (even him).
I’m not saying all those halves were good though. Just that it’s always the other halfback that’s no good no matter who that it it seems.
I’m still sceptical but hopefully Lino comes up with the goods. I don’t want him leading the team round the park though. He needs to be the supporting half, hopefully Gale adds that or Smith can have greater influence when called upon as he gets more game time.'"
It's just the way it is. Fox and Steadman or Deacon and Paul worked really well.
Fox and Deacon wouldn't and even worse Steadman and Psul.......and our Steadman and Paul are a quantum leap of less quality.
Ironically I think Gaskill is the best fit for Lino, he's just not up to the role. A younger Gale would be great. Not sure how older Gale will go.
But whether we kept Miller and lost Lino or visa versa, they both need a Finn.
