He is not the general that we need but he needs others around him to give us attacking options.

He is ploughing a furrow on his own. The only attacking option we have ( Jowiit when fit). The opposition have only one player to stop
He desperately needs someone to play alongside who offers other atting options.

Honestly I don't get some on here.
We've had weeks of being told the end is nigh and we'll lose all our players, then every player mentioned by the poorest of Internet sites as possible transfers are killing the club yet they now sign one of our best players and he isn't good enough.

If we go down he'd be the best 7 in the league. If we stay up he'll be consistency for the squad, clearly passionate about the team and a world class goal kicker.

While I agree about the people saying the transfers out are killing the club and then saying he’s not good enough are double standards I’m not in that camp.


I remain optimistic for avoiding the relegation but I still don’t think he’s good enough.

I will admit the 3 years made me raise an eyebrow given he'll be 30 by the time next season starts and his game is all about heads up play and speed off the mark. Given he's a year younger than Miller and many last year were saying we'd already had his best years it seems a little lengthy. Still he's probably the best we can get so thats why we have to offer 'overs' to get them to stay or sign.

I'm pretty sure the 3 years will have been the thing that swung the deal.

To be honest i doubt he had mountains of offers in the table either.

He signed for Leeds yesterday ya know, but changed his mind today...

Think this is a strong signing for the club. What other 7’s of his calibre or better then him are we going to seriously attract. No player will go near us with a barge pole at the minute, so him committing to us even though it looks likely we’re heading to the championship shows something about his commitment too. He’s a very good player who requires a solid half back partner. He’s had Gaskell, Smith and Langi all playing at the side of him this year, not to mention a multitude of different FB’s. I think this is a great realistic signing.

Pleased with this, we must have a plan in place.
