These people spouting on about all the money invested in the ground and nothing on the team need to get this through their skulls. There was never any choice, Ground first, team second.
A Trinity in the Championship is better than no Trinity at all, that is the stark truth - this season is the ultimate last throw of the dice and always was, even if we'd signed the entire Australian Test Squad it will still be BV that decides it all.'"
If that was been communicated the Club form the powers that be why did IMG just give the Ground criteria a weighting of 15%. It's basically given Cas a lifeline. |

The RFL, not IMG, who've only been involved in the last 18 months or so. The start of all this proceeds IMG.
Cas must've had the same threats, if not questions should be asked. |

Excellent update from JM, who always comes across very well. Let's just hope that these potential investor's do come on board and are quickly able to give us the big cash injection that we desperately need !!

In support of Vasty I haven’t head anything new in this statement…. It’s all been laid out before… chapter and verse…
Particularly as from next year it’s not about promotion and relegation .. so we could have the Aussie test team and win the league.. and still get a low B rating… and still have no facilities… our best option is on the path we are taking…

When you listen to someone like JM assessing where we are and with no panic in his voice it does put things into perspective.
We have been ravaged by injuries to key players and played some top teams, certainly not disgracing ourselves against Catalans (which we could have won) or Huddersfield.
Regardless of where we are next season I'll be there and I disagree with some about the Championship will ruin us, there are some great clubs in that league and some good local derbies - I haven't given up but I'm sick of a SL dictated by the same teams year in year out!

Have I read it wrong, I thought you were in jeapardy (sp) if you finished at the bottom? Surely (and this is a ridiculous scenario) but if we finished top of SL with a C grading and the team topping the Championship with a B rating they wouldn’t relegate us? Would they?

Yes or at least they would have done had we not started the redevelopment. Unlike Cas for example, BV was not just un-fit for purpose but was about to have its capacity cut to 4,600 (approx.). This would been way below basic SL criteria, but more to the point would have made the club financially impotent. That would have meant that the money spinners against Leeds, Cas and a few others couldn't happen. If 4,600 was the biggest crowd we were ever going to get in 2023 then we'd have had no more money than we have now. But unlike now there would have been no way out of it. At present we have a short term issue, without the re-development it would have been permanent.
Truth is we have to suck it up this season and run with what we have. Nobody is unaware of the risks or the possible outcome, but there simply is no choice. I'm not having a pop at you or most other posters here, I'm being genuine, if you have an alternative I'd like to hear it because I can't see one.

And lets be honest, (although it counts for nowt) we played better against Shudds than Cas did........... |
