There'll be no room for sporting facilities along Neil Fox Way when they've finished with the housing developments down there Eastern. Have you seen the extent of the excavations taking place now? All along the road you can see where they've already allowed provision for new entrance roads into new housing projects.
Yes, there was a golf course down there and te solitary building that stands there is the old club house. There was also a pub there called The Jolly Sailor: so called because the Barnsley canal ran past it.
