Whilst stood in the North Stand on Saturday couldn't help but notice a flashing light coming from a bulge in the shirts of the Huddersfield players between the players name and the players number. Assume some kind of tracking system or the Huddersfield team were in fact robots from the future.
Just wondered what could be gained from this technology and if we have it?

Heart rate , distance covered , recovery between maximum effort. Then compared to other stats. I should say most pro clubs use it, Wakey use it .

Wow, I never knew that, I'm so out of touch. Amazes me the depth of detail that coaches go into when you compare it with the coaching at amateur level it's a different world, my first 3 years of coaching was being told to hold the ball and run at the gap and very little else and they where a decent outfit at the time.

It used to be cutting edge stuff - most of the same functionality is now available to the average joe in a wearable device; I got so bogged down with stats and details, that I've binned mine off and gone back to basics - I don't like being told what to do by a frigging watch.

Good for pro's though - I guess it feeds directly into what trainers, conditioners and dieticians are doing with them on a day to day basis. Or they're robots, as per the OP's suggestion.
