I've signed it, as Wood is worse than useless.
This is a bloke that when in charge of Halifax, didn't do a very good job of that.
He has no concept of how to make the game stronger and more available to a wider audience.

Looking after the interests of one club (Bradford) over the needs of the rest of the game is partly why we're in this situation as a sport. Yes, I'd love for wakey to stay in SL, but i also want the game as a whole to improve. Under Wood, the game has not improved. The person at the top of the food chain is ultimately culpable for that. The profit the RFL made last year was less than his salary, and investment in the game seems to have stagnated. We need a proper sports promoter heading up the game, not a job for old boys corporate yes-man

Sound stuff Egg - the development of the game is as old as the game itself with all of the ventures down south, in Wales, Scotland, North East etc but doing it from the top down has ultimately failed. I like the way developing the grass roots has gone, London is a slow-burner but is showing some success with born & bred Londoners making it in SL, long may it continue & prosper. More money needs to be as thoughtfully invested in continuing roots-up growth
