Quote: Redscat "I've read many of the popular press reports about yesterday's match today.
Credit to most of the reports. They didn't slam the team or belittle them like I thought they would, and surprisingly several papers actually referred to our major injury problems. Two reports that I read even stated that Trin had twelve players missing.
The Press were also very complimentary about the Wakefield supporters; particularly how they remained in the ground to applaud both teams.
Wonder what the mob at SKY would have had to say if they had televised the game.'"
just to pick your point on support . I have followed all sports, football, union and league and on Saturday I sat with my partner on one of the side stands. What amazed me and I have never seen it before was as trinity began to lose and the lead was opening up in the beginning of the 2nd half, instead of the fans becoming negative and dejected, as a lot do on the wrong end of a whipping naturally looking for somebody to blame, THEY DIDN'T, quite the opposite, they became more positive, more vocal, by far out sang the opposition. At the final whistle, warrington gave their players a well deserved ovation but it was no where as good as the ovation the wakefield team received even though they had just lost heavily. It was something to see. I don't think the players were expecting such a rapturous ovation and I think they were genuinely surprised. Even the oppossition players, sandow, westwood, clarke and smith applauded the wakefield support. As I left the ground, I remember thinking, it didn't feel like we had lost. I had a great day and was full of pride for my team, my club and my fellow supporters.
