| I think it's a shrewd move.
You are bringing in a player that is coming from a winning environment and replacing someone who will have eye on next season with the Cas contract already in the back pocket. That player will be effected, even if it's just 1% in his approach and mentality it's 1% less for us.
Brian Smith is shuffling the pack, leave it to him. Game on next weekend....

| Anybody that doesn't think we are getting the dirty end of the stick with this deal doesn't know much about RL. Is McShane a world beater? No of course he isn't, but he is a talented young player who offers a damn sight more than Scott bloody Moore does. That bloke is a waste of space, but i'm not surprised he's here and thats the saddest thing.
Take Locke out of the equation and have any of our signings really been improvements on those that have left? Not in my opinion. Where is the real improvement on a matchday anywhere other than in Millers performances? A win against a very understrength and knackered Hull team and everybody got giidy. 100 points conceded in the last two games tells me not much has changed. Looks to me we are preparing for life in the division below which will likely be fatal. Seems to me Mr Carter didn't save the club when he took over, he has just delayed it's death. Pee'd off with it all and had enough? You had better believe it.

I don't know about a winning mentality, Cas may have only lost 9 league games this season but Moore has played in 7 of those. Their success rate without him is much higher!

| Oh boo hoo Scarlet
No one is saying you can't say your opinion, but when your opinion is everything is rubbish and that those who don't see what you see have rose tinted glasses and are idiots I don't see why you are still here......... And generally people don't like being called idiots. Why are you surprised someone replied?
You accuse the club of just giving up and preparing for lower league but you have no knowledge about why they are doing what they are doing.
Even if McShane is better than Moore, we are the bottom club and that's the kind of signing we'll be doing for a while even if we survive the middle 8. It's no good accusing people of trying to kill the club.
It seems to me they are trying in difficult circumstances.
I'm not happy at the state of the club but we are where we are. If you call me an idiot for still following and looking for the positive in the situation then so be it. I'd rather be me than you.

| I don't want to see a team of half hearted players taking the field. You can see the players only put half the effort in and many of them are out of contract at the end of the season and probably found a new club. Things had to change we may not agree with the players coming in but for me its about effort . Im sure( although the time scales short) that Brian Smith will get the best out of the players at his disposal, I don't agree with some of the comings and goings but you have to give way to B Smith . I was over the moon when we got him and im still supportive of his efforts and decision making. I also dont see a problem with shifting players out who are away at the end of the season, I think the efforts put in by a number that departed been poor.
I wouldn't like to be in M C shoes and its easy to give him a hard time and to be honest I don't like his management style , but why keep players on your books who don't want to be at Wakey next season . If you can do a deal and replace with another player in the same position then that's ok by me. Im just not in the know enough to make an educated comment, but I would have thought it was not a decision taken without consultation .
The 8s are about to start and new team players will be taking the field, I do not see that as a bad thing.

| McShane has done little this year except put even more weight on. He cut out the early season regular forward passes but his kicking has been remained abysmal. I would blame him for handing the impetus to Catalans at 10-12 the other week leading to us losing a game where we were dominating. Pity we can't get a bread and butter hooker like Andy Ellis signed up before the deadline.

[iWakefield Trinity Wildcats are delighted to announce the loan signing of Scott Moore.
The hooker has joined the club from Super League rivals Castleford Tigers until the end of the season. [/i
What makes you think Moore wants to be here next season? The lads had more clubs than Tiger Woods.

| The deal is permanent deal for McShane and a loan to the end of season.
We didn't have to let McShane go.
To me it either means there is a financial benefit to us, like possibly Cas still paying part wages as he is still under contract, or McShane is kicking up a fuss and we need him to leave for team spirit reasons.
I can't imagine the second so I assume the first.

Except when he plays you mean!
Still he can always fall back on his experiences at London last year....
