There ends the most unedifying period on the super league's brief history, despite the effort of some Bulls posters to obscure the simple truth and propagate the arguments about different ownerships and so points shouldn't apply, blah, blah.

It's a shame the game loses a powerhouse, but I can't say I'll miss the Odsal or the Bulls. They've never excited me, and I just have a mental image of big blokes on muddy pitches plodding up and down.

I think he's tried to do what any Chairman would do - he's just not made a very good job of it; and it sounds a bit churlish to say, "we know we're right, but we're not going through with it."
