| My attempt at a quick player by player summary for those not at the game;
1. Mathers - OK; Couple of good runs from dummy half, and joined the line well. Few silly mistakes and could have been better positioned for a few Leeds kicks.
2. Fox - Took his try well. Solid runs to get us going. Not really tested too much in defence or under the high ball.
3. Collis - Solid; didn't play too long. Some good covering defence.
4. Sykes - Good return; Started at centre, few good tackles, moved to stand off later on. 1 great kick.
5. Johnstone - OK; a couple of 'naive' mistakes, but ran the ball in hard and backed himself on the outside against BJB (didn't make it, but i like the fact he backed himself).
6. Goulding - OK; Needs more game time; a few good kicks and linked well with Wildie. Should have cleared the ball dead for Mimms try.
7. Wildie - Good performance; looked sharp but needs to be more commanding and take the initiative a little more.
8. Tautai - Solid; 1 barnstorming run, which unfortunately ended with a knock on. Feisty, looked like he be a danger if used right by RA.
9. McShane - Good performance; Some nice little kicks and looked sharp from dummy half. Impressive 1st game.
10. Moore - Typical RM performance. Needs to watch the offloads at times, but when they come off it gets us on the front foot. Ran out of the line far too quick to let Clarkson in for his try.
11. Anderson? - Only on last 10 mins; Did nothing wrong.
12. Kirmond - Solid; as with Collis, didn't play long, few good tackles and a few 'almost' breaks.
13. Trout - OK; Some good runs and tackling, if he wants a regular spot this season he will need to run some better lines.
14. Smith - Impressive; Good running, sensible off load, joined the line well and passed the ball nicely, not just a battering ram prop.
15. Shulver - Only on last 10 mins; Did nothing wrong.
16. Annakin - Impressive; Solid runs, powerful leg drives. Great little kick through for Wildie try.
17. Walshaw - Good; Strong running; Great effort to take Hardaker over the line; looks bigger and better. Promising.
18. Molloy - Only on last 10/15mins; Ran a good powerful line for his try. Looks to have bulked up from last season.
19. Kilday? - Only on last 10/15mins; looked aggressive; strong running. One to watch.
20. Washbrook - Typical performance. Solid defence. He did make a few more half breaks and seemed to have a bit more confidence than he finished last season.

| Can't really say it was a lucky draw. Had the first conversion gone over it would have been a draw anyway, the penalty would have then given us a win.
Thought we defended well but looked a bit one dimensional in attack. Too many panic offloads.
Wildie looked our best player on the field today.

Pretty much agree with that and we lacked patience in the 2nd half, looking for miracle balls instead of building a better attacking platform.
Put into perspective, it was far, far more encouraging than last season but, who gets the trophy

| Enjoyed the game today,Dan Smith looked OK and Wildie for me just sneaked MOM for Wakey. If Trin looked after the ball a bit better it would've been a Trin win.But over all the team as a whole tackled well and run it in well.Well done.

The ball was quite literally 'thrown about' today... All over the bloody place.
There's nothing wrong with panic offloads when the game requires it. We try it in our own half, sometimes on the first or second tackle, often when we're in front on the scoreboard.

| It was entertaining for a boxing day match. Wasn't much between the sides in my opinion and were obvious fitness issues with some but generally I thought we looked alright. Wildie was impressive, Smith looked strong and Trout put in a stint. Goulding was guilty in trying too hard in my opinion but it was interesting to see Sykes at centre. McShane went well too

| Tautai went alright, made a couple of breaks but got a little too excited and then lost the ball. Got exploited once in defence but showed a lot promise. Started at prop, so probably tired a little. I didn't even notice Molloy so can't comment
