Quote milkybarkid="milkybarkid"Hello there "shifty cat". Yes I have been a season ticket holder for 11 years and not once have I heard of clowns corner nor have I read of it on here until now. But in reply to the poster not referring to him as a clown then why would it have such a name? Are children who go to school not school children? The clique on here say things which are always brushed to one side and if outsiders like myself challenge something then it is jumped upon by the likes of yourself and you try to muscle us out. All I am saying is think before you post. I joined this site after being a regular reader for the last 12 months and what a great welcoming I have received. I do not wish to continue in a childish manner because there will only be one winner as I pointed out in my previous post. Feel free to PM me though.'"
You do make a good point. It does take a while to catch up on the "in jokes" from those that post as a full time occupation on here. I was the same when I started posting rather than watching.
I really don't think the post was meant to offend. I've labelled that corner the same myself in a post, as it seemed to be well known and an easy description.
I can also say I've stood with those guys too so I include myself. It's a lot of fun. Not all clowns though, some are just supports and even families that like that view of the ground, some like it because you could get to the beer easily or before the bottle bar, could get out to Agbrigg Road quicker.
But it has it's name because they are vocal and unfortunately when things got fiesty, it usually got fiesty down there.
That has changed now so could easily lose it's name.
