Interesting replies - I deliberately threw in the ground share option as it seems a no-brainer, financially, for both clubs. In my opinion you cant have a successful mix which includes:
Low-ish crowds paying a max of £20 through the turnstiles.
Poor to non-existent marketing of the game locally and Nationally.
Leading in turn to a lack of new supporters locally and Nationally.
And, of course, total disinterest by the National media.
Awful presentation by the BBC in any way you care to name - commentators, camera angles, lack of any pre-match build-up or post-match discussion.
As Khlav Kalash points out, we receive $1m from Sky. Wow- that should keep the clubs in tea bags for a whole season. It certainly wont go much further judging by the speed at which clubs fall into the mire.
New thinking by the RL is what's needed. And they'd better start now- has is passed your notice that the RL World Cup has not had a mention in any media channel? And it won't either, I guarantee that the Media will not build it up one bit. The BBC will usually find a sudden interest in the re-admission of wrestling as an Olympic sport.
Unless the RL can have an influence on Media attitudes, the World Cup will be a financial failure- again.
The clubs will have no revenue windfall, and the spiral of defeat goes on.
The game has to shake tself out of the 1960's.
The sports market is now like any other-competitive, and we don't compete.

I'm afraid ground share is not a total cure.
You have to ask yourself where does the money go? Doesn't take much to work it out does it - to the players and their parasitic agents.
RL is a tough game and players should be paid accordingly BUT within the financial constraints of RL wealth. It's very simple clubs spend recklessly with money they haven't got to try and be competitive. End of story.

Sandaltrinityfan says that ground sharing is not a total cure. Exactly!!
The game has much more to do - but there needs to be a raft of decisions which, added up, bring a better financial base for Wakey and every other RL club.
Consider Sheffield, who have no ground to play on next season.
Wouldnt they benefit from a sound financial base for the sport??
You want the sport to prosper- think like the investors think.
They want to see plans, strategies and open minds - not vague wishy washy promises that dont come to fruition.

How do you know it will be a financial failure? Ticket sales are going well according to the reports I've seen and the organisers have set up base at MediaCityUK in Salford, next door to the BBC and ITV. There'll be plenty of reports out there nearer the time. You must have missed the fact that the BBC have TV rights for all England games and will broadcast every game on 5Live and 5LiveSportsExtra. That's great news.

England's gain is New Zealand's loss.
Stick with the Warriors and watch Sam.
