Thought he was a beast last night and couldn't help but admire his spirit to come on despite his own injury when Amor had to come off. I think we could have come unstuck had he not put his hand up at that crucial point of the game.

Having Raleigh back was another major boost. The pack were all round excellent and I hope that's a sign of things to come.

Certainly had his best game so far in the red, white and blue and the pack were on top for the vast majority of the game, which was a great effort, especially with the loss of Amor early in the second half.

Only worry is whether he's crocked for next week now. Excellent last night and hope he carries it on for when the seasons in full flow!

I'm afraid some people (noticeable by their absence) must feel a bit silly all round to be honest. Some of last weeks outbursts were frankly a bit sad.

What a difference a year makes!

In the corresponding fixture of last year, HKR used their pack to bully their way to victory, Micky Paea and Con Mika in particular.

Last night Justin Poore won just about every collision he entered and brutally shifted the first defender almost everytime he carried the ball.

The extra size and conditioning gained over 12 months by Amor, Raleigh and Wilkes has significantly altered the dynamics of our pack in relation to other Superleague clubs.

In contrast to last years game, we bullied HKR last night rendering Mika aand Paea almost impotent by comparison.

Poore's display yesterday was just what the Dr ordered - he did the dirty work of an old-fashioned prop forward and really bossed it up the middle; it was good to watch.

Just shows that players need to be given time to prove themselves. Thought all the pack stood up and were counted last night and whilst not perfect it was a very large step in the right direction. Well done boys.

Twice he got turned on the floor, the rest of the time he landed on his front, not something that comes easy after so many minutes on the field.

Big effort.

A very good shift by all the forwards last night who were well up for it and I liked what I saw in Poore.What a differance a few days make and they certainly had fire in the belly.
