As a general point, the ground did sound as though it was buzzing- plenty of chanting generally and just sounded like a good atmosphere.

From my vantage point behind the tv, it made me very jealous I couldn't be there!

Apart from the half time dance routine by you and your mate and the young lad I though it was pretty cringing stuff that got on most people's nerves in that area.
As others have suggested you could have stood with the choir and sung all night happily and not come into conflict with anyone.

That's why there is a terrace around 3 sides of the ground so there is something for everyone in terms of viewing experience and atmosphere. Stop complaining and join the back of the north stand where you will be stood with like minded folk.

Really cannot understand why you are complaining about lack of atmosphere stood in a place where fans like to relax and talk to one another about the game. Saying that you would of been drop kicked out of the north stand as you sounded like you smoke a 1000 a day.

Having heard many times how the crowd can lift the team, our intentions were only to get a very quiet section of the ground to show some vocal support to the lads on the pitch. I apologise if this offended anyone or if we had an impact on your enjoyment of the game, this was not our intention, sorry.

Next time we will stay in the North.

Watched a few Wakey games from that position over the years.

Im sure the abuse you got from one of our own was no worse than the language between one of our own and a KR female on the western terrace in the second half.Fortunatley a few of us shouted for them to cut the abuse as children about and they did.I was on the point of going looking for a security steward to give them a warning about the language it was that bad everyother word and you could see that it was about to get out of hand.Fortunatley they took note of what the rest of us told them to do "Calm it down".

Talking about whingers, i've sat in the eastern stand for over 20 years and had the same group of 2 or 3 morngy old blokes shouting negative tripe in my lug hole without fail every game, never have anything good to say when they pipe up. Then at half time they'll have a fag and a good old whinge some more. Dont understand what they think it achieves, may aswell stay at home and shut up

Theres a group of 4-5 on the western terrace who stand behind the dug outs and do the same thing, I've never heard a positive thnig said by them in years about the club, team, match or life in general.

The better we play the more they moan about how bad the world is, for some reason if it's a good game they seem to get board

It's a personal choice, some people like to sing and chant, some don't, I fall into the latter category, my enjoyment comes from watching the game and like minded banter with surrounding people. In 36 years of watching, singing has never been part of my matchday "experience" You just have to accept that some people do not get a kick out of that sort of thing.
