I'd love to return the sentiment, but I'm not entirely with you on that line of reasoning; I happen to be a big cycling fan for example and for me, Bradley Wiggins' achievements as an athlete put him amongst the greatest in the world across all sports - to see him decorated with gold medals, yellow jerseys and even the SPOTY are therefore very fitting. I just don't agree in principle with the concept of 'honours' bestowed by someone whom I don't recognise as especially significant.

I start training in January for a big cyle challenge by the way, so I'll give you a race to the shops?

Glad to see Scully get recognised. I think it's important for our sport also to have a presence in lists like this.

Scully does a lot of stuff in the Wakefield area too via his charity work and also excellent kids holiday rugby camps.
