Segregation was the main problem on Friday seconded by the late kick off,segregation won't work at Bellevue due to lay out(benidorm flats) let home and away fans stand where they want, ok you get the odd niggle with opposing fans but it usually sorts itself out . What happened on Friday turned passionate fans into animals. Needs somebody at the club giving glover some good advice maybe someone who watches from the terraces week in week out.

The only way I can see any sort of segregation working is to do the job right,six foot barriers running back to front,proper stewarding,the appropriate amount of toilets,adequate amounts of catering/bar facilities.The difficult thing will be to make sure only Wakey fans use it.If we don't implement something like this then we're likely to be responding to threads like this when the other well supported teams turn up!

most of it is down to drink. I have had reports that their was appalling behaviour and language in the new west stand and I presume that was just Wakey fans. People near us who are usually well behaved and good fun arrived at the ground full of drink and using appalling language and even falling out amongst fellow wakey fans. I had to tell them to pack in and mind their language. Its the drink that fuels it I am afraid and its up to the normal decent folk to show our disgust at it and stamp it out

if we dont address it the rfl might. when hull and leeds come goodness help us.

I can't see that happening again; Wakey vs Cas is one of only two proper SL derby games and emotions always run high. Add to that the inflammatory nature of some of the pre-match interraction, the fact that KO was scheduled for 19:30 on a notorious all-day sessioner and that both teams are in the doldrums at the present time.

It was the perfect storm and is unlikely to happen again.

Segregation does not cause trouble. Drunken, mindless thugs cause trouble.
