| Quote: TRB "That was all connected to the body putting the proposals forward. Although our commercial developer Yorkcourt has been co-ordinating the plans, this was on behalf of our Community Trust. The council can support a trust such as this. The Cas plans were submitted on behalf of CT RLFC - which cannot be directly funded by the council.
Ultimately the same offer of financial assistance is available to both clubs, it's just a question of unlocking it!'"
Is there any truth in the rumour that yorkcourt will own the stadium and trinity will have it on a 99 year lease? And that the proposed tenancy agreement between WDCT and "Sprit of 1873 ltd gives the sole use for the stadium for the use of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats?

| Quote: Hatfield tiger "Could you clarify a point for me and this is purely hypothetical.
Given the use of the term community stadium I am of the assumption that any local team could apply to play at the ground – fixtures and relevant usage fees permitting.
If that is the case and given that it is by the trusts own admission a community stadium then Castleford tigers would be eligible to play in the stadium if they so wished at the same annual cost as the anchor tenants i.e. WTW (If preferential fees are given to one club over the other then surely its not a community stadia)
The reason I ask is given the economic climate it would make so much sense for just one stadium to be built. It would cost less in terms of building the thing (obviously) but also if the stadium was simply a community stadium and therefore in essence a not for profit organisation – with the fees used to maintain the stadium and fund local sports programmes etc - then the fees for both clubs of using it would be significantly reduced.
The community benefits as would both clubs as both would have additional cash to build their respective clubs.
Maybe I am looking at it too simply but it’s about time the council banged a number of heads together and saw sense.
If Inter and AC Milan can come to an arrangements then I am sure Cas Tigers and WTW can do.'"
The short answer is that Castleford, to date, would like to own and operate their own stadium in Castleford and in many ways, I understand why they would like to do just that.

I think you are massively over-simplifying the economics of the situation but in theory, CT should be able to apply for a tenancy at NM.
For the record, I think that's what will happen; we're in the fight of our lives to get one stadium built in the district in the next two years - anyone who thinks that we'll get two is, in my opinion, living in cloud cuckoo land.

Well one thing we can pretty much guarantee is that we'll know once and for all if that will be Newmarket in about four months time.

Cas should be in their own facility at GH.'"
Agreed TRB the best result will be wakey an NM and cas at GH. Lets hope it comes to fruition.
