| I think those who are saying 'It is only £100' are missing the point. A lot of people are struggling to afford that amount of cash right now, and even if they have that cash available, with the jobs market so unsteady at the moment may feel uneasy to part with the money a few months before Christmas, especially as there is uncertainty at present whether it is £100 or will rise to £175. I think the offer would reach nearer 3500 rather than 2500 if it was extended to Christmas, that would give folk to budget for the expense.

| I would expect the ST sales by Xmas to reach the 3500 as you say.
That is only if it remains at the price it is now. Add to that the shirt sales around Xmas time with the £10 off for ST holders.
Should be kept as it is. It will all work out over the Xmas period with a bit of presence in the town/ridings and trinity walk.
By seasons start I would hope we break the 4000 barrier.

| Got mine this morning, good few in the shop getting there season tickets. The women in the shop would not tell me how many we had sold, she said she did not want to get my hopes up, just in case we did not make 2500. But she did say we are getting there.

Not being funny with you mate but Facebook is not the way to do this, put a count down clock on the website or use the clock for the next game thats already on there.
Facebook and twitter is so unprofessional and makes the club look cheap.

Can't agree there; social media is the most powerful medium for marketing that currently exists; it does have to be done properly though, avoiding some of the early faux pas', like the senior team passing boozy anecdotes or making quips about interbreeding in Cas.
Agree about the countdown though; that would have been a useful way to get people to feel 'bought in.'
Overall, I believe they'll do it, but I'm disappointed at the way it's been marketed; there didn't seem to be a particularly cohesive strategy and it felt a bit rushed.

| I think the best thing the club could do is honour however many tickets are bought at £100 before the end of September and then charge the standard prices after that if they don't reach the 2,500 target.
Then if the offer is repeated next year, those who didn't purchase at the reduced rate may make the effort to get them sooner meaning more money in to the club earlier in the close season to help budget for the next season.
