well said. most people didn't think we would start the season never mind come from 20 points down and beat cas, beat hudds get at least half a dozen wins with a handful of young lads, a new owner, debts paid. new 3 year franchise. develop belle vue and newmarket is still on the cards. if someone had offered us this before the season started we would have snatched their hand off. everything after the franchise is a bonus. as someone else said. enjoy the ride. t.w.a.s

I think that about sums it up for me. The terrible standard of rugby coupled with there being nothing to play for, bar pride which we don't seem to have, makes for a very dull afternoon.

The Crusaders weren't too bad, Wakefield were appalling. Trinity were that bad they even made Tony Martin look like Greg Inglis.

I keep thinking back to the 2001 side. On paper, they where prob worse than this years team, but they never gave up.

You sack the coach two days after the franchise announcement look what message that sends to the team.... new broom and all.... Crusaders had a point to prove as well... but all those players who have struggled all season but turned over a few teams including mine, deservedly so on the day too, suddenly see the door out with Kerr getting 'sacked' what do you guys expect... lots of speculation about a new coach, what players are coming in.... i know they are professional and should give 100% but with the dole queue for some and Championship for others now.... would you put your body on the line ?

At least there was some creativity (to a point) with Pearson, a well past it Davis, Hudson and Poching. There's just nothing in this side, or if there is, they aren't being allowed to show it.

I see Kear in an italian i go to at newmillerdam a lot and he's enough of a gent to help Glover put a spin on it...... he's a nice bloke..... and its typical of him to leave in that manner and go along with a club announcement..... but all the idiots that are berating him on here might change their minds next season when some coach blows your money ....

You might end up higher up the league but as at Huddersfield now expectation brings more disapointment.... 9th may be seen as failure... just look at our boards theres a lot of disapointment and we're still 4th.... and could yet finish 3rd with an end of season run....

but not many went to fartown in the seventies like me when we were the 'whipping boys' they don''t realise how far we have come..... and how long it has taken.... so patience is the order of the day.... trust me !! I know !!
