Someone else pointed out, Demetriou is not the type of man to kid himself if he feels his body unable to meet the physical demands of the game.

If he feels it’s time to call it a day then he will.

He seems a pretty level headed guy even though he has family ties in this respect. He never rants just because someone criticises his son so I think I will take heed of what he says over others.

i think he has another year in him.

he has played more games than most squad members this season and the vast majority of those at a very high level in a position he wasn't used to.

Stuck record but if he's staying another year I hope it's in the centres.

not sure he has the speed but certainly would be an option there

Don't think he ever really had speed but he has strength/power and it would be less physically demanding.

Think JD has one more year left in him, but I would like to see him properly fit everyweek and not put his body on the line everyweek, if you've got a niggle rest it. He's still an important part of our side regarding breaks and leadership but he's got to realise how to increase his playing days.

Perhaps similar comparison could be giggs, changed posistion and now plays half of the game and is involved in the important matches when the coach can depend on him.

Ferguson has one major advantage over us - no salary cap. Can we afford to have someone who, hypothetically, can't play every game?
