Quote PopTart="PopTart"The half year season ticket wouldnot be that big an administrative issue.
They can just use the unsold season tickets. You can't use the tickets for games already played so no big deal.
The price would be the question. If they make it half the cost of the full season people might be tempted to wait. They should be more expensive but still good value against on the day price so that they can catch the ones who missed out and are now able to go.'"
I think half season tickets are a good idea for those who can't make it to many matches.
The club will know how many season ticket vouchers have actually been used and so what value they are getting from them.
I wonder how many are in similar postiion to myself. I've had a season ticket for the last 2 years, but I only attended 2 matches last year and none so far this year. I'll probably be able to get to 2 or 3 again. I bought a season ticket to support the club. £125 was cheap enough if I only get to 3 matches (£60) and instead of buying a replica shirt. If it was nearer £200, I'd have to reconsider.
I would buy a ticket if it was say, £100 for 6 matches (buy 5 get one free). However, this may have a big knock-on effect to full season tickets with people cherry-picking the best 6 fixtures and missing any that are on TV.
I think the club should also have some recognition of the loyalty of season ticket holders, either some kind of discount, or even something as simple as a badge or pin for continuous support over a number of years. People like their loyalty and committment to be appreciated and rewarded in some way.
