It is sometimes better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt !: |
|
| i doubt very much that the current incumbent will be going anywhere in my opinion.

| Someone who actually can work out what to do and get the best out of they have.
Not easy, but in a 13 man game, it's a good idea to use all the players.
FWIW RL is not that complicated and a little nounce and thinking outside the box can go a long way if developed right. It needs everyone on side to do it and that is very difficult at times.

| Harrison left Halifax and they have done well so would not want him.
He seems to be in the same mould as March and was too matey with the players. Or so it seemed when ever I watched after match presentations at shay.

simpsons/simp048.gif I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!
Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

| Paul Cullen talks good rugby but has poor tactics and didn't get the best out of Warrington (or Widnes). It took Smith to sort out the players, moving on those who were a bad influence and threatening to send Briers on loan to a lower division team until he saw things his way.
Harrison is a crash and bash merchant with five drives and a kick mentality.
We need a JD type coach who can bring a professional, creative attitude toward gameplay, training, fitness, player welfare and youth development.
We need a coach who the players will respect and who will sort out those that want to do it "their way".
We need a coach who can extract the maximum from individuals and blend a team who's performance is greater than the sum of its individual parts.
I'm not asking for a lot really

| We could do worse than bring Steve Dekin back.
Very experienced coach with experience of coaching here and overseas.
Also knows the club and certainly not a mate of any of the present players.

| Deakin would be a good choice.
JD has just been part of the coaching team that won the NRL grand final.

| Deakin might work but personally I don't think he is right for us.
He did well with what he had available to work with last time but he's had indifferent results elsewhere. I seem to remember him having good resources at Oldham but never being able to get them over the final hurdle.
We would just be a stepping stone once again for his ambitions of finding a better club. I don't mind ambition to better yourself but not at the price of leaving chaos in your wake.
We need a coach who can take a group of average players (with potential), add to them some proven, seasoned pro's and turn them into a team of winners.

Funny enough I agree with this.
