| Those of you that know me probably know that my 'proper job' is working for the Your Sporting Chance' Youth Project based at Cougars and we've been working a project with some young people that will see them go 'back to basics ' with outdoor activities that have been popular with kids for years .
One of the activities is building traditional wooden go carts ('boogies') we have plenty of wood nails etc but are extremely short of old pram or small bike wheels . If anythings got anything along those lines knocking around doing nothing we'd be really grateful to take them off your hands to use with the kids .
Thanks
Rach
PS the scary thought of me or Rawlo on a go cart has got be to be funny enough to have you all scampering to sort out your scrap !!!

| Why didn't you ask for these earlier Rach?
I got rid of my son's 3-wheeled bogie in August! He'd attempted a sharp right turn close to the tennis courts in Lund Park (supposedly under the supervision of my mother) about 25 years ago with my daughter riding as his 'brake-man' and buckled one of the ex-Silver Cross pram wheels.
It had been languishing, complete with axles and the three remaining wheels in the garages of our houses since! I never throw anything away but was given the final ultimatum this time.
I found the chassis at the Royd Ings Council tip (in a skip) and pulled it oiut when no-one was looking and returned hom with a triumphant smil on my face (much to my wife's disgust) so why not trot along and have a nice word with the manager and see what he says?
Lund Park in the 50's used to be our race-track, weaving around surprised locals who were bemused to see five bogies racing down the wide central path and even more-exciting down the narrow ones around the perimiter to the finishing line by the 'big ducker' (Duck Pond that has long-been filled in)!
Good luck with a great idea and I hope that you get some wheels.

| by the way, i'm not sure i was ever consulted before the boogie was disposed of!
I think tips and recycling centres are probably the best place if you get permission first.
