The Cougars have agreed terms for 2012 with Richie Barnett, Jamie Shepherd and Sean Hesketh. Hesketh is a big aggressive front rower/second rower with a good offloading game. Paul March has worked with him before and expects him to one of the fans favourites very quickly.

Late and knackered my excuse ....

Hesketh is a quality signing.

He's always seemed to have really good games when I've seen him play against us.

Barnett has come on leaps and bounds this year, if he takes the confidence that he has gained into next season it will be good!

Jamie shep has always seemed to be one of those players who works hard but doesn’t stand out. In the last couple of games he played he made some breaks and looked dangerous, he needs to build on that.

Hasketh has always caused us problems and is a great addition to the pack.

It looks like we're building a quality core for next season. I think the big hole that needs filling is the halves though. Hope we retain Coleman and get a good replacement for Obst!

Read on Facebook that we have signed Rawlons and Coleman too.

A few experianced additions to this squad and we could have a real go again next year.

We just need someone who has that bit of a spark like Obst or the game changing leadership of JD.

I agree. I feared what our 2013 squad would look like after hearing all the departures, but some good solid and Championship proven players. For me Mr Bisto is spot on. We need a new halfback to replace Obst. I'm not convinced with Coleman and Smith so IMO we need someone to partner Jones. I think we also need work in the three quarters. I note Sagar isn't signed up yet and with the question mark over James H we still look a bit weak in that area.
