I am pleased to see JD's explanation of how we have afforded these signings. Perhaps this will give confidence to those who were worried about the club's finances and put that one to bed now. Let's be optimistic - that wil help everyone on the pitch as well! Wish I could be there on Monday - I'd appreciate updates/comments. Regards from the Antarctic.

Is it really 17.50 to get in? I could do without the mince pie and refreshments to make it cheaper.

I am hoping tha £17.50 includes the "extra stuff" mentioned. South Stand prices this year according to their site will be £15.00 not sure what the charge will be for friendlies.

It makes our prices for next season look excellent value!

£17.50 for a pre season game. What a rip off.

Just curious but are friendlies shared gates? I would find high prices for pre-season games easier to digest. I would also hope to find score updates somewhere, although I will be much closer than the antarctic I will be still occupied with family meals.

On the Halifax forum they suggest it may be £10 or so for adults on Boxing Day. That seems more reasonable. Must be good mince pies at that price?!

Jones is not good enough to be leading a Top Championship team around and Fax struggled in the halves and Forward areas last year. Cherryholme is a plodder. Both average Championship players. Certainly not a loss for Fax and many Fax fans are glad they and others are gone.

Maybe they just don't fit into the Fax way of playing. JD has obviously seen something worthwhile in them, and at Keighley, in JD we trust!

In 17.50 we trust

I think Danny Jones struggled because he was never given a regular shot at playing scrum-half for Fax. As for Cherryholme, he's maybe not the kind of prop that will make masses of yards, break tackles and offload regularly. He seems to get through a hell of lot of work defensively which doesn't always get noticed.

If halifax are expecting fans whether it be home or away to be paying £15 just to get in I expect there will not be the amount of fans as they hoped for.

As someone else mentioned its too much to expect to pay at what is after all championship and not super league. Too much at best of times let alone the fact times are financially hard for folks at moment.
