Please could someone confirm whether our team used to wear this shirt?

I'm guessing if so, it must have been between the years of 1991 and 1992?

Earliest Keighley shirt I can remember was white with a a couple of red and green stripes surrounding the Magnet Trade sponsorship. I'd guess that was either the first or second year of Cougarmania.

It's not one that I recognise to be honest, but 1993 is my earliest recollection. There are a few other RL teams, albeit at amateur level that use the "Cougars" name. Could it be one of them?

I've been watching since 1982 and am a bit of an anorack with things like shirts and I'd quite confidently say that's not one of ours.

This was included in an auction of sports memorabilia earlier in the year as a "Vintage match worn Keighley Cougars shirt", and has also been on ebay. I am certain it is not one of ours, but the proof is that is numbered 19. we have only used the squad system for the past three years during which time it would have had a players name on it. Before that the shirts would have been numbered 1 - 17.
Could it be a Cardiff Cougars shirt?

The Logo on the front is that of George Emmott (Pawsons) Ltd of Oxenhope who did sponsor the Cougars possibly in the late 80s or early 90s, the number on the back was obviously number 1, the 9 looks to have been added later. This is born out by the fact that the "9" is a different font to the "1" and the "1" is in the centre of the shirt, instead of both digits being centred. As to whether it was a Cougar shirt I do not know, as I cannot remember them playing in this design.

Any chance of it being another Cougars team other than the first team? Or have the reserves for example always played in the same design strip as the first team?

Hate to be the bringer of bad tidings to anyone but that shirt as far as I know (and photographic evidence I think proves ) is a shirt from the Cougar Cubs circa mid 90s . I'm sure 'the secretary' on here will confirm this

I'm sure there is a pic of a team wearing said shirt on the wall in the upstairs bar at Cougar Park , will confirm tomorrow , bit it was a Cubs team indeed backed by Pawsons , owned by Neil Spencer and containing a certain Richard Moore and not completely sure about this Tommy Haughey ???

Yes it's a cougar cubs shirt from about 1995/6 when I played, think we were 15/16. Moore and Haughey were both in the team also Chris feather. Looking back our team was awesome, should have a cubs reunion. Think I'd be somewhat overshadowed by their enormous bodies now though!

Yes Rach, I agree, It's a Cougar Cubs Shirt.

That shirt definately a Cougar Cubs shirt as Rach said, it was cubs U16s side from 1997 which did include Richard Moore and Tommy Haughey coached by Dave Rooke. This because this kit was passed down to my age group in 1999, which contained Cougars Captain Buster Feather.
