| Would have won submission of the night if it was in the UFC.
No place in rugby league and now he's admitted to intentionally trying to seriously injure an opponent he should get the book thrown at him.
Life ban from internationals, 1 year ban from the game as well.
or
Be made to change his surname to Hunt by deed poll for the rest of his career.

| no doubt it was wrong to do, however if we kept internationals correct and had a team full of english players vs a team full of kiwis or australians this would never of happened. if england want to be taken serious on the world stage then they need to take themselves serious first fa'savalu now chase, oh and heighingtons cats mothers cousin was english so throw him in there the only one i do agree with is jack reed as he was born here.

So where would you draw the line as regards international eligibility?
I don't think it can be as simplistic as you can only play for the country that you are born in.

| I don't think it is that simple because of the seemingly shrinking world where fewer people are born, grow up and remain in the same country their whole lives.
For me, the key is having the passion to represent their country. Their home country might be where they live or where they were born or where some of their family is from. That is the principle I believe in... the rules needed to apply that fairly may be more difficult. Deciding somebody else's passion is very subjective.
That said, no player (no matter what their opinion or background) should be allowed to get away with maliciously trying to injure another player (no matter what their opinions or backgrounds are).

I don't know which is worse, that or a one year ban
Should be dragged across the coals, but do those who run the game have the bottle?

So you would never get a player. Try to hurt another player, if only English players played for England?

Take someone like my Dad for example, has lived all but 6 months of his life in England educated in England, has an English accent, yet was born in Newport, 20 miles inside Wales. Are you saying he would only be eligible for Wales if he was 20 years younger and a decent player?
Quote: cougarmania_1978 "look at the kiwis and the australians do they have any other nationalities playing for them.'"
Jason Nightingale and Nathan Fien are both Australian born yet playing for the Kiwis.
Petero Civoniceva was born in Fiji but has had a glittering career for the Kangaroos.

| stealth comic your dad should only be eligible for wales yes, nightingale and fien only for australia civonicieva for fiji and chase for new zealdn. the only reason he is claiming to be passionatge about england is because he cannot get in the kiwi side. where was his passion when he played for the nz maori just before the 2008 world cup ? oops it must be new found passion, no he chose nz maori because he wanted to play for nz he is gettin older and knows his chances are slimming so he has gone for the england set up that quite frankly if u have a passport that says nz australia and you have been here a few seasons come on in heres a shirt.
furthermore mr. guesswho yes if it was a team full of england players the act of violence would never of taken place as issac luke explaine dit was directed at that player and that player alone. luke and the entire new zealand team were out to get him because they saw it asan act of dis respect and basically looked like he turned his back on his country. if it was all england players nothing more than the usual losing, and rough and tumble of the game would have happened.

Thats not the point you made. You said,
Quote: cougarmania_1978 "no doubt it was wrong to do, however if we kept internationals correct and had a team full of english players vs a team full of kiwis or australians this would never of happened'" .
