Can the club comment on who has re-signed from last seasons squad?

When i rung up about two weeks ago i was told Duffy and Shickell had re-signed but not seen it announced anywhere.

I think Miles Greenwood would be a top signing for us at fullback great player surprised fax let him go.

out of the players not resigned would only like us to keep Rawlins, Jake, Benji and Baines.

Think them four are a most, if doesnt sign them must still have lot more signings up his sleeve.

According to the website Benji has definitely left the club. That's probably to make way for Korky and Cherryholme. We seem to have plenty of halves if Coleman re-signs so I can only think JD would be looking at the backs and utility forward areas. From a personal point of view, I liked the look of Stack (Workington) and George Elliot who was on loan last year. He had pace to burn and potential. His defence seemed a weak area though.

Sorry to read that Ryan Benjafield has left the club. A great solid player who always gave his best and did a great job for us.
In lieu of not having a supporters club how about forming a Squadbuilder committee to arrange and run fundraising events throughout the year? Other clubs such as Batley raise thousands for the club this way.

I think one has already been set up.

As I said in my recent 'post' on 'Championship/Championship1 TV Deal for 2012'; we can start by signing-up for the deal via the Cougars so that the Club benefits from its fans/supporters.

All commission received could then be channelled into the 'Squadbuilder'. Something is better than nothing!

You're right. Just checked the Knights website and he signed for them a couple of weeks ago.

Surely James Hutchinson and greg Nicholson are a must ...... although isn't James Hutchinson in the Air Force , could play havoc with training methinks . Belcher also a great player.
Sad to see Benjafield and Law going , I understand Scott Law has gone to Oz.

I really hope baines isnt let go. He is one of our better players.

I think it will all depend on what players JD would like to bring in. If he has targets who are arguably better than the current players in that position maybe some may be sacrificed. I think this is the situation with Benji. Hutch IMO hasn't had his best season and maybe the step-up to the Championship may be too much for him. Belcher has failed to make an impact in the first team. There's no doubting his potential but will he get a look in next year?

That's just my opinion which am sure others will have their own thoughts on. The backs and utility forward needs some attention and hopefully we can get some quality in. On paper I would say our squad, as it looks presently, is arguably stronger than that of last time in the Champ.

Where is Belcher ???. He's not been playing for the under 23's. Is he actually still at the club.
