Ive just seen on facebook that sundays game has been switched from Neath to Caerphilly. I then checked the South Wales website and it was posted on there on 7th June. Then checked Cougars website and found NOTHING about it.

As a result, I wont be able to get to the game on sunday. My weekend was planned to have 3 nights in Tenby and get the train to Neath on sunday for the game, which is possible with an 1 hour to go. But cant get to Caerphilly.

When was the club told, why wasnt posted on the website and how many have been left in the same boat as me.

Still going Tenby as I will make alternative plans for Sunday.

That is a very poor state of affairs.

You can get to Caerphilly on the train via Cardiff I think but it's much further than Neath.

Safe journey to all those going down, drive caerphilly.

Caerphilly is only 7 miles from Cardiff. I checked it out on the AA route finder.

Tenby to Neath 58 miles
Tenby to Caerphilly 93 miles

I can see why it might be an issue.

I was under the impression that they have always played at Caerphilly.

This is meant to be the last of our 'on the road' games at Caerphilly whilst the Gnoll is being reseeded due to the extended Rugby Union and Football seasons of our two neighbours, though to be honest its much easier to get to and we get better crowds so watch this space. The change of location has been on our website since the monday after out last home game (June 6th) ,I id think there might be a problem for those who had already made plans. If any of you are in Cardiff on sunday I recommend the 'Cougar Lounge' on Womanby Street opposite the castle and the gatekeeper pub if youre in there, do say hello!

Keighley would have known before June 7th as they had to sign off the change.

Both clubs a fault in a way. Cougars for not posting on the website as soon as it was know. But I think the Scorpians should have thought about whether the Gnoll would have been available for the game before the start of the season, not 3 weeks before the game is due to be played, after some of the Keighley fans had made their arrangements for the weekend. Granted the Union & Football seasons were extended, but surely it needs a good month to be reseeded anyway, like when Boundary Park used to be closed in May/June to Oldham for the pitch there to be reseeded, and they played up at Sedgley Park.

However, Tenby was wonderful and the B&B very hospitable. Not a wasted trip.
