Have to say what a performance by all the players today 44-0 against any team is a great result but against a full time squad and potentially super league was outstanding and how they must be embarrassed. The attack was clearly fantastic but the fact we nilled them is brilliant. No doubt folk will say Saints were not much cop but that was because we played so well. Blackpool will be harder but if we play with the same intensity wf will win comfortably.

Wow, thats amazing, even if granted, it was only an U-20 side, but they are a SL side, so you would expect them still to be decent at least! Sounds like a great performance!

When I saw the size of St Helens warming up and the shape they looked to be in I feared we were in for a very long hard game. They were not given the chance to play as Cougars kept the ball. When Saints had the ball they panicked and made daft errors. Our defence put a lot of presure on their attack. Cougars hard work in the gym is showing. Top effort, Well done.

Big well done to you guys as you played some fantastic rugby. Thought I would watch the Saints much heralded academy but saw a great performance from the Cougars. St Helens were quite frankly outclassed and this showed as they became ill disciplined, openly swore & showed dissent to the referee. In particular their no 9 who was a disgrace to the game as he shouted for a number where I was standing to hear, "He didn't even give us a f###king penalty for that"

Fitness levels are very hard to judge, when we only played 30 mins each way.

Lets see what the team looks like, after having Halifax big forwards running at them for 75 mins.

Anyone reading to much into the game and expecting big things, might well be in for a shock this season.

Dissent to the ref. Must be something they bring through the ranks at St Helens. I seem to remember Wilkin, Graham and 2 others surrounding the ref in a game a couple of years back.

There is only one person to blame and that is the ref.
He alone has the power to put a end to it.

At the first sign of it he should bin them or send them off.
If he did then it wouldn't happen again.

Superb display,even if it was against the kids(they were huge).

As for the delay,somebody wants their backside kicking for that,how embarrassing.I was on the verge of walking out,very unprofessional OR WHAT.

I will be holding a full investigation as to why our equipment failed it's checks and i agree with you completely it made us look terrible.

The RFL are meeting on Friday the 29th to decide our fate so i am hoping we can make an announcement asap after then.

Wasnt a good begining of season showcase was it. If I was coming along for a taster session or a sponsor I wouldnt be happy. But have to say well done the lads showing spirit again. Cracking performance .
