I for one will not be watching the Royal Wedding. I will go off for a walk somewere thus avioding any tv's.
Waste of public money . Why could they not get married in a register office.

If I knew what myopic meant it would help. End of day nurses,soldiers etc losing jobs and yet money free to help the royals. I am not anto royal well yes I suppose I am yes tourism will get a boost but what has to be remembeted is the added cost of security to protect them and others in royal establishment. As for bank holiday I volunteered to work.

I won't be watching the wedding, but I'm not anti-monarchist, just not that interested in the weddings of folk I don't know! As a couple getting married, good luck to them. I wouldn't want to be in the public eye like they will be, for the rest of their lives.

As for the hardship of being in public eye its a choice they made and dont forget the benefits never paying for owt etc. If they didnt want it then they could say no. Just find it hard to accept this is not a waste of my taxes.

Yeah, I'm sure just saying 'no' is an easy option for the royals. It might be for various other 'celebrity' types, but I think if you're born into it, have some sense of 'duty' ingrained from birth, it probably isn't an easy option to take. I'm not sure the public and press would respect that decision, either.

Showing off your capital city and some of it's world renowned tourist attractions in front of an estimated 2 billion on TV in a way that really only we can do.

My own mother's job is in severe jeopardy due to the cuts, only last week she was served notice that her position was under threat for the third time this year.

Do you not think that this money could actually help to keep her, amongst others in their jobs?

Sorry to hear your mums job is under threat but you do not really believe any money made from today will be used for anything except to line pockets of government or given to bankers to top up bonuses. Thankfully I was able to work and miss the wedding and good luck to them but what charlie and phillip wore to me shows the class divide will never reduce whilst we as a country get a grip of the rpyals and their actual roles everyone is in cloud cuckoo land if they think the royals give a toss.
