Its not good enough to say the equipment failed its checks.The equipment should be checked on a daily basis,and if batteries are flat or your defib pads are out of date then you should have spares.As for the Fire Service providing coverwhat would have happened if they are called out?If they leave a bloke with the defib then the appliance doesnt have one leaving the Officer in Charge in deep poo if its needed.
