[iThe purpose of this Rule is to provide an enhanced Player development pathway for young Super League Players who are not thought to be ready to make the step up to Super League first team on a permanent basis but for whom first team match experience in the Championships is likely to be beneficial for their development. It is intended to provide additional flexibility for Clubs to make arrangements that suit the Player’s development needs whilst protecting both the playing squad requirements of the Clubs concerned and the integrity of both competitions[/i
Yeah right. Pull the other one it's got bells on.'"
I queried this last season with the RFL and I was told that there is still a pathway for young Super League players even if Adrian Morley and Lee Briers and the like play the odd games. On the whole most of the players that are being used on DR are young fringe players with the odd occasion when older players. They saw no losing of integrity by either competition but stated that they would monitor it and if need be alter it at the end of the season (the 2013 season). Well they haven't and it is up to the clubs to use it or not as long as all the players used are dual registered with the RFL.
